In January 2021, SAIL LABS Technology GmbH was acquired by the sensor specialist HENSOLDT and became HENSOLDT Analytics.

On January 13, SAIL LABS (now HENSOLDT Analytics) members Severin Stampler and Gerhard Backfried participated in the ELG consortium meeting at DFKI in Berlin. The meeting focused on the upcoming open call (https://www.european-language-grid.eu/open-calls/) which will provide opportunities to European SMEs to integrate and demonstrate their services with the ELG.

The H2020 project ELG is composed of a consortium of 9 members, including SAIL LABS. The project addresses the fragmentation of the European LT by establishing the ELG as the primary platform for LT in Europe. It aims to be a scalable cloud platform, providing, in an easy-to-integrate way, access to hundreds of commercial and non-commercial LT for all European languages, including running tools and services as well as data sets and resources.  It was launched in January 2019 and will continue for 3 years.

SAIL participates in ELG in a variety of ways: as a provider of technologies and models, taking part in communication and dissemination activities and being responsible for innovation management within the project.

The ELG project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement № 825627.
