SAIL LABS conducts courses throughout the year to train system administrators and developers on SAIL LABS products. Our trainings give your employees all the information they need in order to confidently handle these powerful technologies.

TRAINING WORKSHOPS

Learn how to rapidly develop applications and get the most out of your SAIL LABS investment. SAIL LABS regularly conducts comprehensive two- to four-day training workshops at the Training Center in Vienna.

The training workshops provide intensive, hands-on training, and are led by instructors with considerable product and application development experience. SAIL LABS workshops have been designed by experts, and incorporate all the linguistic and technical theory required for a confident handling of the relevant technologies.


Training Locations:

Training is delivered at the SAIL LABS Training Center in Vienna. Other training locations on request.

Workshop Details Media Mining System:

The Media Mining System comprises the Media Mining Indexer, which indexes media streams in real-time, and the Media Mining Server, which is used to browse the archive of indexed files.  

The Media Mining System Workshop is a four-day course. During the first two days, participants learn about the Media Mining Indexer, and during the latter two days about the Media Mining Server. Participants can also opt to take only the Media Mining Indexer part of the course; this option is available as the two-day Media Mining Indexer Workshop.

  • Handling of audio data
  • Assigning Speaker IDs
  • Speaker Segmentation
  • Enabling Speaker Clustering
  • Information Extraction and Retrieval
  • Multilingual aspects of handling text
  • Deploying enterprise Java Beans applications
  • Handling video and text
  • Setup, configuration, and troubleshooting

 
This comprehensive four-day course will enable you to build indexing services for media archives, complex video on-demand systems, news archives, or any application using the underlying technology of Media Indexing and Media Mining. At the end of the course each participant receives a certificate of participation from Sail Labs Technology.

 
Participant's skills (Media Mining Indexer): Required: any language, which can interface to a C++ DLL. Knowledge of XML and scripting languages is useful.
 

Participant's skills (Media Mining Server): Required: Java and HTML. Knowledge of JavaServer Pages, Enterprise Java Beans, Oracle, SQL, and JavaScript is useful.
